"It" is an adaptation of a best-selling Stephen King novel published in 1986. The story follows seven young outcasts, known as The Losers Club, who are terrorised by a being they collectively call "It". "It" emerges every 27 years to prey on the young in the small town of Derry, Maine. The story in the book is told through two time periods, as children, and as adults. The film explores the journey of the children over the course of one horrifying summer. Jack plays Edward "Eddie" Kaspbrak, a hypochondriac, and a sickly boy who only feels at his best when he is with his friends. The film touches on themes staple to Stephen King; childhood trauma, the power of memory, the ugliness behind of the mask of a quaint small-town, and overcoming evil. We don't want to give too much away but it's safe to say we were excited to feast our eyes on "It"! We wish Jack all the best with his future career of successful stardom, he deserves it after this stellar performance.
